Concrete Mix Design
Portland cement concrete mix designs are developed in our laboratory to meet project specifications using state-of-the-art admixtures that improve workability, finish ability, and cost effectiveness. We are AASHTO Accredited to perform concrete mix designs and determine compressive strength and flexural strength of concrete.
Our laboratory personnel have the required level of American Concrete Institute (ACI) Field and/or Laboratory Certifications and our procedures and equipment meet the criteria to provide design work for governmental agencies including:
- Federal Aviation Administration
- State Departments of Transportation
- U.S. Army Corps of Engineers
- Federal Highway Administration
Our experience in manufacturing lightweight and heavyweight Portland concrete mix designs also enables us to determine shrinkage and time of set for projects that require it. We can also prepare color and/or exposed aggregate test panels for inspection by project architects.
WesTest material engineers and technicians are competent in performing maturity meter calibrations for fast-track projects.
